went from a 7950 to a 970

Wasn't expecting much and didn't get much considering I have 2x1080p (one of which is normally shut off)

but god damn its cold in here now ;(

Well a 970 is about twice as powerful as a 7950, how are you not seeing any difference?

it is nothing close to being twice as powerful.

the 7950 was and still is a solid card, it was getting 60FPS in most games as it was, and my monitor is small enough that having anti-aliasing set to 0 is my setting no matter the game or card, so in terms of frame rates and the such there's no difference

What?  I came from 2x7950's in Crossfire and the 970 handily beats those cards at anything I throw at it...

For those that have oced your gtx 970. How far have you gotten?

1568MHz before it starts going nuts.  Proper stable clocks around 1548-1558MHz.

Ohh nice. So how much more core speed could you have squeezed when it came out of the box?

It's on +140 right now, so far no crashes, been about a week at this clock speed.  +150 sometimes crashes if I do something else while gaming, like Youtube, etc + game running in borderless windowed mode in the background.
