Filtering AF optimised intakes?

saya_kucing

Got myself a couple of AF140s blowing directly onto the mobo from the side of a Corsair c70. Should I be worried about filtering these from dust in a dusty environment? If so - what kind of a performance hit should I expect running the quiet editions?

Depends on the dust filter - if they're the foam ones, you might get some performance degradation, but really it shouldn't be that bad, considering the performance gains you'll get from not having dust in your case.

I'd filter every intake in my case, and have slightly more intakes than exhaust so that dust doesn't get drawn into the case through cracks.
