How to unlock a motherboards BIOS?

Is this the M-Power in your signature?

 

Or just some of the power management stuff? I know on Z77 I had to flash a modified UEFI to my ASUS board to get power management working correctly as ASUS locked some of the tables.

Using Uni/Multibeast. Its for my build. I was at school btw. When I go to install it I click on the little worm or whatever it is and it gets to the point where it would install my computer restarts. I've tried all the commands for the graphics cards and such with no luck. I heard on the internet that my motherboards BIOS was locked to not let me install anything but Win.

Have you followed the Unibeast instructions for the set-up process? Set board back to default using CLR_CMOS or a saved default setting, only have 1 stick of RAM operable (remove all but one), do not have anything OC'd -all JDEC for RAM, stock for CPU.

Motherboards do not control what OS you can or can't install on Hard drives, they try to follow whatever instructions you give them. Some boards will simply not be compatible with the Unibeast/Multibeast process, or the OS version that you are trying to install.

Same thing happened to me when I was trying Mavericks on my old X58. I think there are some other tools out there for Hackintoshing (I guess it's a verb?) I know Slick uploaded some how-to videos on the LTT channel that didn't use Uni/Multibeast...going to hunt them down
