Is my iphone 5s godly?

So the story goes as follows i threw a Frisbee to my dog and it got stuck in a 40 foot tree so i decide to climb it. Not realizing that my phone is in my pocket i get to the top of the tree grab the frisbe and throw it. Once it was thrown my iPhone falls out of my pocket and i see it fall as my heart sinks. While i am watching it it hits 5 branches on the way down so i climb down pick up my iphone which has no case on it and there are no marks. It landed edge first and the screen was bouncing off the branches

not really. the coating's relatively durable, the screen doesn't scratch easily and it it hit dirt and bounced off branches to slow its fall, breaking the screen is unlikely.

I mean if it took more hits on the sides and back, but only the screen hit once on one branch, then I can see how it was fine.

well i know people who have dropped there iphoe from 7 inches and less and they broke and each branch was at about 7 feet below the last one

You wouldn't be able to type this now if it were a Nokia.

5s here as well and I love it. Dropped it several times without a case -i hate cases- and no scratches or marks.

if it was tile it would break falling like a foot, but if your display wasn't deeply scratched (creates a place for cracks to permeate from) then wood is less likely to break it.

Well, the branches would help break the fall and prevent the phone from building up a lot of speed on its way down.. The ground would also be a lot softer than concrete, so it wouldn't really be a *major* impact for the phone.

I've had an iPhone 5S for about a year now, and I picked up an HTC One M8 used just a few months ago.. A few of my coworkers have Galaxy S5's, and they definitely feel a lot worse in the hand (in my opinion) than either the 5S or One M8.

 

 

Of course, one of my coworkers left his GS5 in his pocket while swimming, which is something that nether the One M8 nor 5S could survive.. To each his own, I guess.
