I believe it's integrated in windows 8 a bit like the way icloud is in apple devices. AKA probably not going to happen.

The first result of my Bing search: http://www.groovypost.com/howto/hide-disable-skydrive-windows-8-1/

It explains all the steps. It doesn't completely remove it as the services are an integral part of the system but it prevents it from being able to be used and removes the OneDrive folder from the left-side pane in File Explorer.

Hit windows button + R ( or just open up run )

Type in Gpedit.msc go to windows components the look for onedrive or skydrive the click on that it should give you 3 options click on the middle one then click on enable, it won't uninstall because you can't uninstall it but it will disable it from storing any thing in there.

You can convert your PC account to a local account then Skydrive should not show up anywhere anymore.
