Samsung B2430 TN vs Philips 244E5 IPS

Hi,

I have just a quick question, currently I am using Samsung B2430 as my primary LCD, which is a TN, but now I have an opportunity to swap it for Philips 244E5 which is IPS.

I cant really decide between the two, IPS is commonly better, but I like the quality of Samsung LCD, I have tested both of them with Eizo MonitorTest and the Philips seems to have problems with gradient from black to color, its not uniform, I can see some stripes.

 

So.. what would you do?

Keep it, because it's Samsung.

Thanks OriginalPromise, thats why I still can't decide :) , Im not sure how quality Philips products are..
