Not sure if this laptop is for you but the Lenova 3 Pro. It is one of those laptops that you can bend 360 degrees. It contains the new Core M series processor (which is the equivalent of a microsoft surface pro 3), has intel hd 5300 and is completely fanless, extremely thin, has a IPS 3200x1800 screen and comes with a 256GB SSD or 512GB Model. Only con is that it is not released yet, but will be out very soon.

Edit: Sorry didn't read the title properly. This laptop is a little over your budget

There have been many wars that have rocked the face of Earth, Many have heard of WWI, WWII, The Cold War, The Vietnam War and the Iraq War. But there has been a war that only a handful of humans know.....AMD vs Intel. It all started in 1985 when Intel released the first 32bit processor, the Intel 386. This war has been raging on for decades and Intel and AMD are still at each others throats. Fanboys have been ruthlessly killed, motherboards have been short circuited and most gruesome of all... CPU pins have been bent. Stop this war before it is too late. #STOPTHISWAR

He can save battery by using geforce experience and just lowering the brightness a bit.

That might add an extra 1 hour or so. If you want battery life with performance, get the Dell XPS 12. It is Linus main laptop and it is very tough. He managed to recover it after he left it out in the rain

I'm not much of a laptop guy. So I can't give u a model no. But for 1400, you should get a very very good ultrabook since portability is your preference.
