Thermal thresholds may be set low. Note any overclocks you have, then reset your bios (removing battery on mobo)

Is it BSOD or just straight up power down?

Other possibilities: PSU going bad, Hard drive failure, exposed trans-dimensional rift near PC

exposed trans-dimensional rift near PC

This is the only explainable one. The others are likely to never happen, in our existence at least.

I had the same issue, some weeks ago and it turned out to be the PSU going bad. You have to think about a new one.

My synonyms were:Random crashes in idle and under load. Not able to reproduce it in any scenario. Shuts down like you would pull the plug.

Go into the BIOS and just sit there and se if it still shuts down

And list your hardware
