Any GPU overclocking software that doesn't suck?

Jedicake

I've tried afterburner, xtreme tuner plus, and evga precision x, and I can't figure out how to tweak them to allow 1.2volts to my two GPU's, all of them cap the voltage real low

If the voltage is capped, it might be nvidia's or amd's doing.

However, I see in your sig you have a 780, so I don't know why it's capped.

you'd need to flash the bios on your graphics card...this is a ''noob proof'' features integrated by nvidia...has nothing to do with the software.

...be advised if you do so you say good bye to your 3 year warranty.

I could've sworn several months ago I tried an overclock and I pressed a "kboost" option in a gpu program, and it allowed me to hit 1.2volts, too bad I can't remember the name of the program though.

Guess I'll research GPU bios flashing..

If you would watch the LTT video, they tell you about how the voltage is dynamic and really cant be "set"

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

you've got the part where i've mentionned after you flash a graphics card if something goes wrong after that point the GPU is no longer covered by any warranties?

Yea, pretty sure I have no warranties on them. Got one from Hardforum, and one from Ebay.

Know any insight on the k-boost thing?

they are all covered for 3 years minimum all you need is the serial number on the card.

EDIT: forget that i saw you have waterblock on them which if i'm correct also void the warranty when installed on the cards.

nVidia Inspector will do it just fine. But if you can't set voltage high enough, then you need a modified vBIOS, yes. I know this is necessary for mobile chips too. At least you can fiddle; we're locked to +135MHz on the core at stock + random boosting/throttling is annoying xD.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

THE INFORMATION GUIDES: SLI INFORMATION || vRAM INFORMATION || MOBILE i7 CPU INFORMATION || Maybe more someday

well yeah nano is right. (btw haven't seen you in a while since I haven't been on in LLT for quite a few months)

just go flash it up. if it works awesome. if it doesn't and do something nasty just don't blame us.

anyways it rarely fucks up like nano said so should be like 70% no worry.

Live your life like a dream.

Wow, well that was easy. Easier than I thought it would be anyway.
