Project - Ω Omega Lite Ω

trevory323

So I've recently built a new gaming rig for myself, and my cousin is looking to build one also. He's been stuck with a crappy A8 laptop for a few years now. I was stuck with a Intel Pentium laptop from 2006 as a hand-me down. I'm 14 BTW and I saved up, worked and built it. I recommended these parts and if you guys can recommend something better for the money ($600-$700 MAX), that would be amazing. So the specs are as follows-

Motherboard- Asus M5A97 R2.0

CPU- AMD FX-8350
GPU- nVidia GTX 750Ti
RAM- G.Skill Sniper 8GB 1333mhz
HDD- TBD probably 1-2 TB
PSU- Corsair CX600M

Case- Antec GX500

DVD Drive- Some Asus branded one

CPU and case cooling will be left at stock. He's most likely wont OC. Monitor will also be determined in the future.

Drop down to a 6300 and put the money towards a R9 270, everything else is fine.

I would drop down to the 8320 or 6300 and get a better GPU such as the R9 270.

The AMD processor and GTX750ti combination will leave you disappointed. Not fanboying, it just I know you could be happier.

with gaming that GTX970 will BLOW YOUR MIND

And if you go with @HashtagMilk and his PCPartpicker list, then overclock that Pentium! You will see great performance gains, and a Hyper212 Evo will most certainly do the job.

I don't know how happy you will be with the Pentium when comes to editing, but that depends on your workload

Save and have patience. It will come, I promise! And you will be very very VERY happy when you are able to.

At least get a GTX 770 if you will not go over $700 though.
