LG 34UM65-P 34" Ultrawide IF TO BUY

danny7948

Hi all,

Need help deciding what monitor to get.

After a new monitor, and the ultra wide monitor has caught my eye. my concerns are really bad reviews about the screen and back light bleed and is it a good choose. my buget is 500 pounds and i have a GTX 780 so think my card will be fine with this monitor. i play more strategy games like civ so the 60hz is fine for me.

I currently own a Dell 2412M 1920 x 1200.

does anyone own the monitor and comment.

Any help is much appreciated.

I'd go for a 1440p screen before an ultrawide. But that's personal preference.

Have a friend who has one, and he likes it :)

If you like the LG 34um65, then you'll love the 1440p version, the LG34um95

Although the AOC u3477Pqu is suppose to be out in a month or so, and should be cheaper than the LG.

*edit* I'm still slightly leaning towards the 34um65, it seems like it would be easier to read stuff. Already this text on my 1080p 27" monitor is pretty small to my eyes. I went to frys and looked at the LG 34um65 and it looked great, much crisper than my tn budget monitor for sure. They had a 34UC97 to compare it to, but just a single image so I couldn't really tell how it looked on the desktop.

That is the most sexy monitor setup I have ever seen. To game on that you would probably need 2 R9 295x2s...
