Router Restarts a Few Times a Day

Kacper19990
Go to solution Solved by Jaybird,

Cheap ISP modem/routers. I suggest getting an alternative router to plug in after the ISP's router.

Since I've stopped relying on the ISPs routers I've had near 100% uptime.

I have the Cisco EPC3925 router in my house. The problem is that the router would reset itself a few times a day. It gets annoying as you always get disconnected from a game or a skype call. I got the router changed once, but it didn't help. The ISP says that they didn't find anything wrong. Any idea what the problem is?

ISP routers are horrible especially in the UK when it goes against your terms and service agreement with your ISP if you use your own equipment and the ones that don't care what equipment you use are generally the slowest ISP's in the area

im not saying replace the ips's router. I just saying put another one after it. for us in the US, we still rely on a modem connection, so i have to keep that device.

Thanks for the help with that. Do you know any good modem/router combos?  If not what is a good router and a modem? I might but them separately,
