can i do this with an windows OS?

i don't have money to buy another OS

but i have an windows 7 key...

so can i just use the key from my laptop, and then use the same product key, and install it in my PC?

i'm gonna turn off my laptop when i use the PC and vice versa..

is that still illegal, and even if it is illegal, i would like to KNOW would it work

yes its Illegal, you can only use a product key to activate one product at a time.

It works, It's technically illegal but... yeah it'll be unverified

go grab a copy of Linux until you can afford a copy of the OS you want.

That's illegal? I have moved a few os' between computers. As long as you have the product key it works fine and it's verified, although you can't use two different computers for one key. Because one will have to be deactivated.

If you have used license on laptop, you can't re-use it on desktop. Thats how Win7 and newer keys work. You might be able to get it working by calling to MS, but I highly doubt it on this situation since you will need laptop to be usable also.
