Need help shopping

RTCook

So I recently upgraded from a 680 GTX Lightning to an EVGA 980 GTX and am looking for a new display.  However it's not really due to the graphics card, one of my ASUS VS239H-P monitors has been going bad for some time now.  Completely random blackouts, blue lines flashing across the screen, among other things even when I'm just browsing the web.  I've had these monitors for a long while and I don't really feel like getting another one of these with the same problems.

I'm willing to upgrade to 27" 2560x1440 if the price is ok, I have $1,500 credit through Paypal so I will have to do my shopping at Newegg which I don't mind.  I don't care much about all the crazy rotate/swivel/height  that some of them come with due to my desk.  I would love for them to have slim bezels if at all possible as well, and DisplayPort would be nice as well since my GPU has 2 ports for them.  Running DVI/HDMI for my 2 monitors right now, the length of the cable is an issue.

These monitors will be used mainly for gaming, but also for movies, level design, Adobe CC work, etc.  Thanks in advance for the help, ask any questions if necessary.

For your budget, try to get a 1440p G-Sync monitor. Ones with IPS panels have great colours as well as being all buttery in game. G-Sync is a must for you, it will improve your gameplay so much (ask anyone) and since you've got a 980, there's no better are to use it with!

If you do your Adobe CC at a more serious level, than I would suggest a true 8-bit IPS panel monitor.

Like the Dell U2713H. It feature GB-LED for a more true white over white-LEDs, 2560x1440, Adobe RGB and sRGB manufacture pre-color calibrated with report (only a quick calibration is done, but its better than nothing, if you don't have a color calibrator). Non-glossy, fully adjustable stand, 3 year warranty, 0 bright/stuck pixel policy, 6 or more dead pixel policy.

There is a cheaper venison (white LED, not-wide-gammut, still 8-bit IPS panel, increase back light bleeding, sRGB manufacture color calibrated profile only), the U2713HM: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_u2713hm.htm

I was thinking about getting a true to color IPS panel but the Adobe CC work that I do doesn't warrant the cost sadly.  It's more for personal use and designing graphics for websites/videos for friends, nothing serious.  Will still keep those in mind though.

Acer XB270H | 1920x1080 | http://www.newegg.co...Item=24-009-657

ASUS ROG PG278Q | 2560x1440 | http://www.newegg.co...N82E16824236405

Those are my only 2 choices for G-Sync monitors, and I would be getting 2 of them.  I don't know much about the Acer one, and the ASUS one isn't available sadly.  I wish Acer would of done made that monitor just 24" mainly because of the resolution.  1080p 24" is the perfect spot for that res, anything higher and images and whatnot start to look weird imo.  They are both TN as well, I would love to get a G-Sync monitor but I don't think there is enough on the market to warrant one just yet :(

Would the ASUS PB278Q be a good replacement for my monitors you think?  I been reading that alot of people use them for gaming and production work, best all arounder on the market right now?  Hard to shop for a monitor when I can't get out to see them because I'm disabled
