Is Star Wars Battlefron III Cancelled?

Well I got in Twitter this morning and I seen an article from IGN that SW battlefront III was cancelled and I wanted to double check to see if it was. O guess there was a leak of prealpha game footage as well. If it is let me know how you feel about this because I'm super pissed that it got cancelled.

I can't click on the link since I'm at work, but I believe they're talking about leaked footage of the game back from 2006 when Free Radical was working on Battlefront 3 (and was cancelled).

Erm, it was cancelled, but if you read full 3 paragraph article you'd know there is another Battlefront game. 

"And don't get too down about the game's cancellation; a new entry in the franchise, simply titled Star Wars: Battlefront, was revealed at last year's E3 and will be set during the original trilogy era."

Apart from the video leaks everything else is old news.

One, that is old Battlefront 3 gameplay. You can tell from the graphical fidelity and the Stormtrooper models. They look more like Clone Wars troopers than real STs. EA are still working on Battlefront 3 and nothing has been said officially otherwise. 

Mainly because EA wouldn't miss out on making more money and most likey pissing off all the Star Wars fans that want to get the game. I see it now, Star Wars fans in robes stood outside EA's head office with lightsabers and E-11 Blasters just ranting.

Star Wars BattleFront III is a game that got canceled in 2008.

 

 

Star Wars BattleFront is the next gen game created by EA, and is due to release next year.

 

 

 

They are 2 Different Games.

There will be a Star Wars: Battlefront game by DICE sometime in 2015. The Star Wars: Battlefront 3 game being talked about in your article was being developed, and then cancelled by Free Radical Design (now Crytek) back in 2008.
