i am not sure what mother board to go with i have a small list of 3 but is there any other ones that uses guys will suggest

Those are all way overkill for a simple HTPC.  All you need is a H/B81 and an i3 at most for a HTPC

yeah i just noticed that board i put was an amd and i going to be using a i3 4330 and i am wanting it to be a micro atx and have ether 4 sata ports or 6 cause the case will be a fractal node 804

i am going to get an ssd but what size of ssd would you recommend

 

and do you know of any other case which has a large amount of hhd hold space and is not to big because it be sitting inside/under a tv unit 

 

and what os do you think i would be best going with i was thinking linux or windows home sever i not sure what one would be best to use
