Haswell Refresh Pentium G3240

Go to solution Solved by EcoBoost,

Im okay with bottlenecking but its playable cause ill be upgrading the CPU after the GPU. But it will take some to do that

Yeah it will be playable, it will be like G3258 stock in these benchmarks (not overclocked)

Hey guys. Im currently using a Pentium G3240 CPU and a 9500GT GPU and 4GB of RAM.

The question is if I buy a GPU like a GTX 760/960 or r9 270x do you think I can play Battlefield 4, NBA 2k15, Watchdogs etc. on 1080p with High Settings with smooth gameplay like 30fps with the CPU or I will not reach the 30fps mark with it.

P.S. I dont play multiplayer because my internet sucks.

Watch_Dogs, I don't know about, but BF4 and NBA should be perfectly fine with a Pentium G3258, but I don't know about your specific Pentium (wether it's overclockable or not)

im pretty sure you will be able to play. not sure about 760 bottlenecking your cpu, but 270x would be oke. stay tune for other ppl answers.

The blood on to your heart start pumping faster when you notice me.

But is ok.

Judge me for my nickname, my avatar and for the low amounts of posts I have. I will keep your heart beat raised.

Since you can't OC it I would expect some bottlenecking

Anything is perfectly fine with G3258 but G3240 isn't unlocked

No its not overclockable but it runs at 3.10GHz. I just need it to be playable at some point because I can play GTA4 on with my system at 23fps average on high quality but low render quality at 1280x768 resolution. Hahaha.

I tried playing 2k and its so lag. All inputs are delay so im thinking thats its the CPU because fraps is marking it at 20 fps.
