Do you guys recommend this camera. If you don't can you tell me a better suggestion for the 800 dollar mark

while i am no pro photographer i can tell you one thing for sure, it is the best pocket cam atm.

 

but you likley be able to get a better dlsr at that price range

If you want a pocket camera and not a DSLR, that's pretty much the creme of the crop. Doesn't get much better.

Soooo many YouTubers rave about that camera, so either it's all just hype.......or it's one heck of a pretty damn good camera.

Meh while the MK3 is good, its extremely expensive and even the 1st and 2nd gen are almost as good

 

I would get the MK1 or MK2 

 

Depends what you are after, if you are after something pocketable

 

I would personally take something like an Olympus EM10 over the RX100 (I use an rx100 as a pocket back up)

on all kinds of camera's: no, not good for $800 mark(i would go for a 700D/rebel T5i form canon, or 1200d/rebel t5 or something around that range form nikon)

 

on compact/point and shoot base: yes it probarlly is the best.
