Intel based HDMI Stick - The Meegopad Quad Core, Windows, Ubuntu or possibly SteamOS

The website reads;

"A new Windows compatible HDMI TV stick has been unveiled this week in the form of the new Meegopad which is powered by a quad core processor."

"The Meegopad is available either powered by an Intel Atom Z3735F processor supported by 1GB of RAM and capable of running 32-bit software. Or with an Atom Z3735G processor supported by 2GB of RAM with the ability to run 64-bit software."

What this is a USB stick on steroids. This could be used as a media system, very very basic gaming and probably only doable on the 2GB RAM version.

There is also an Alibaba link with images of the innards of the unit;

If previous Atoms are any indication we're looking at hot, slow, and expensive once again...

In a way you can compare it with a Linux Pendrive, except that this is the pendrive and the PC hardware in one.  Just carry it around and turn any TV into your own PC.

  Sure, you'll need to carry Bluetooth keyboard and mouse as well as some way to power the stick (most TVs have a USB port, so a USB->microUSB cable should do the trick), but it does have potential.

That being said, it's not for me, this thing.  I'll just carry a laptop and have a cable that connects it to the TV.  That way I already have my mouse and keyboard, and I can also use it without actually needing a TV.

In-home streaming, basic emulation, Basic PC usage (Surfing, Word Documents, Spreadsheets, etc.) ghetto NAS, ghetto server - There are a bunch of things I'm missing, but this sounds about right.

Can this play CS1.6?

Anyone who has a sister hates the fact that his sister isn't Kasugano Sora.
Anyone who does not have a sister hates the fact that Kasugano Sora isn't his sister.
I'm not insulting anyone; I'm just being condescending. There is a difference, you see...
