Nvidia Shield, bricked from OTA update

Hey guys, for the second time, my Nvidia Shield Portable, has bricked itself during an OTA update

 

This happened before, all I did was unlock the bootloader, enter recovery mode and the machine reset itself to factory settings

 

However, when I do this all that happens is it comes up "No command"

Can anybody talk me through installing a working system, I can download a working OS here but I do not know how to install it :( HELP

is there a some sort of download mode you came across? (where it asks to be connected to USB or something?)

Not familiar with the Shield :( sorry

Maybe the recovery is gone, no way to flash a new recovery like TWRP or CWM recovery?

 

I have no ioea what that means

 

can you connect it to a pc in anyway?

 

Yes of course :) I can connect via usb

download a recovery image if nvidia provides them then go in adb and go through the process

I cant boot into the system though, so I am not sure how I get into developer settings and stuff like that

 

I think I would need a degree to understand this

Nothing happens :/ I can get into the "wipe data/factory reset" and if I select that, it wipes the data then nothing happens after

The factory reset function does not seem to work

 

Really stuck on what to do now :(

If you don't have android sdk, get it and install it. Go to recovery through bootloader. Should enter it sucessfully. Type adb sideload "OS UPDATE HERE". Do not type in quotes. Wait till it finishes. This is assuming you have the update package downloaded. it should be a zip. if this doesnt work DM me.

I downloaded the file before but I found it confusing :/ (I am shit with software)

You could try and contact Nvidia's chat support, they've helped me a few times when I've had issues with my Shield portable.

I didnt get chance to attempt it last night, but I will be doing it tonight, if I get stuck I will let you know :)

Yeah I have tried, though I get limited support as I get no warranty here, the nvidia guys on the geforce forum are helpful though really slow to reply
