Are lite coins any worth mining

So my gpu is a GeForce Gtx 780 Ti from Leadtek and I over lock the core clock by around +200 MHz and I down clock the memory to save power. I am not using liquid cooking for my gpu and using the heat sink and fans that came with Leadtek's 780 ti.

At around 700 Mega hashes per second. I wonder if it is worth to mine for litecoins at all. Taking into account that my electricity bill is around 20 cents per kilowatt hour. Anyone have any suggestions for me on this topic?

Any response would be appreciated

I'm sorry to ask here, but you seem to know what "mining" is. I tried searching for it on the web, but just didn't understand it, so I figured out I could ask someone here. Am I right if I say, it is to produce "money" with your pc?

I once had one of these, now I've got this.

Theoretically, yes, however power consumption and hardware costs make turning a profit at a near-worthless level.

At the current difficulty and price range, you will be earning almost 7 litecoings per year.

So no, it would not be worth it. $27 per year and not being about to do much of anything with your computer

No it wasn't, you weren't making anything then either.

If all you want is a way to make money with your computer then you are out of luck, it's not gonna happen mining.

If Litecoin has taught us anything it's that mining any cryptocurrency, for society, isn't worth it. As soon as it's no longer profitable to do with consumer hardware someone will come along, introduce a new cryptocurrency and everyone will jump on that. It's because of modern society's greed that the world can never stick to a single cryptocurrency and that's why a universal currency will not become commonplace any time soon.

More to the point: No. But eventually the craze will start over with a fresh coin. And then that'll be pointless moments later.

Honestly if you want to at least feel good about yourself I'd fold instead. It earns you nothing, but neither does mining. But at least your power is being put to good use.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.
