The ULTIMATE pc building screwdriver

Wera Kraftform Kompakt 27 RA Slotted Ratcheting Screwdriver

I work in the slot machine industry, which are basically big PC's inside a much bigger chassis with more mechanical parts. 7 months ago, I started doing research into what would be the best ratcheting screwdriver I could find which could hold multiple bits. I'm CONSTANTLY using phillips #1, phillips #2, phillips #0, all manner of socket sizes standard and mm, a few flatheads and sometimes torx head screws and bolts. Every day I use this screwdriver and it has held up to the abuse, grime, and dust this job entails. The ratcheting action is very fine-tooth, the handle is comfortable, and the bits are very well machined to fit screwheads precisely. It has a very strong magnetic tip, allowing it to double as a pick-up tool if need be. Although some are worried about the magnet harming components inside of a pc, I haven't had one single problem yet. Then again, I don't usually bang the tip against PCB or anything that's live. It can be found on Amazon for about $20 less than the Snap-On screwdriver I see recommended here often. If you're serious about building PC's, and plan on building a LOT of them, buy this. It's worth it.

Does it come in blue?

Unfortunately, no. Wera seems to use green as its branding. You could probably paint it blue if you really wanted, I suppose.

I prefer one from Milwaukee Tools that can take the extensions I put on my drill. I actually did a post on all the stuff I used one time...

Could be worse, would you prefer it was Noctua brown?

That would actually be really cool. I'd get one if it was Noctua themed.

I have 2 ratchet screw drivers, imo they're okay, but the constant setting of the ratchet direction for installing and removing screws can be annoying at times. So I went back to a standard screw driver with magnetic bits. Also got snake driver attachment that can be used with both my manual and auto screwdrivers, handy at times when it's needed for those tight to reach places, a regular screw driver can't.

Might get myself one of them auto loading screw driver.

Wera makes a version of the screwdriver I linked that does just that:

The screwdriver I linked has a setting that allows you to use it in regular form. I actually find myself using it most of the time at work, as the ratcheting mostly comes in handy when I'm in a very tight space and can't move my hand much.
