X99 steampunk mod codename : The Broiler(Subject to Extreme change)

Hi guys this is going to be my third build and I decided since I'm coming in to a nice financial state, to make an enthusiast grade modded PC. My base line is off the X99 chipset and the newly released Gtx 980 cards. This will all center around the use and look of copper tubing and water cooling components.What I have quasi determined is as follows:

Case: Cooler Master haF stacker 935 +915R

Mobo: msi x99 XPOWER

CPU : I7 5930K (For those pcie lanes )

Gpu : 2x refrence GTX 980's sli

PSU : Evga 80+ plt 1000w modular

Strg: 126 m.2 ssd(OS)

256 ssd

3tb hdd

Optl: random blu Ray writer

Colg: assortment of Cooper rads water blocks and tubing and a standered d5 pump.

This will be my first time using anything other than a closed loop cooler or air heat sink so I decided caution to the wind and go for glory.

I would be appreciative of any feedback, criticism, ideas for esthetic design of case mod options this build will hopefully completed by q3 next year so as to kick my face in when skylake is released.

I'm still stuck between the softer rolls or hard line tubing I know that both can be bent with a good pipe bender but don't know how well the softer will hold up over time verses the hard line.

Quite easy really just buy the same diameter (and wall thickness) as you would acrylic and have your De- buring tool handy for the proper fit and seal. Nvidia actually posted a great copper tube water cooled mod on YouTube showcasing it. And some fittings even say for use with acrylic or copper tubes.

Haha I promise to post pics as now I'm in the sketching process (literally pencil and paper) but I'm really looking for ideas from interested parties such as where I can find gears and such. One idea is to have an actual plumbing temp gauge for the loop that comes out and up the front.

The actual fittings you shoukd use are Bitspower E22 fittings. They have double o rings that help support copper tubing. You can also get Sharkbite tubing which physically bites into the metal.

Okay guys, good news and bad news on the horizen. 1. I am going to divert my focus to a Z97 build unless A) a X99 TUFF seires is released, B) DDR4 drops in price within the next 5 months or so, C) the price drop from he 390x or the release of the 980 ti or Titan 2 makes the 2 980's a little cheaper.

 

If not I will get the Newest i7 that will be out considering the the move to 14nm is appealing for its effeiceny stand point unless Intel screws the pooch so hard that they some how lost actual computing power, which i highly doubt. The reason behind this is becuase im dropping more on a new car then I previously had calculated and don't want to have to wait months apon my return home to save the extra 1000- 1500 ish it would take for my semi no comprimise machine to be birthed. But if I do decide to wait i'd rather get me some of that Skylake haha.

 

Some updates include the following:

*I have finally been able to download sketch up for my laptop so i can work on a model of the Haf Stacker

*I plan to make a shroud for the psu which im going to house in the main chassis section( input on acrylic, metal, or even wood would be great)

*I am going with a Sabertooth board becuase the thermal sheild feels like a easy mod and design choice for steam punk as long as it has m.2 storage for my boot drive

* The loop will consist of a monsta 360 rad(push pull) in the lower section along with my d5 pump and drainage assembly, a 240 all copper rad(push pull) with no paint for the front under the 5.25 drive bay which im also cutting out for a pleasnt tube showcase, a triple copper rad mounted inside on its right up top and a 240 on top out side the case for that copper flare. and a simple cylender

*eventually ill be able to 3d model this all for you guys over the next couple months so there will actually be pics on this post

Good news for the people who care. This build will happen, but I'm diverting my time to build my new idea first since all I have had is time to sit back and watch the tech world change over the past 5 months. It will be simpler then I first imagined but it will be steam punkish and watercooled with all the copper and brass fixtures aged to get any Victorian freaks gander. Im going to use my old define r4 and a smaller loop to cool a cheap ol AMD FX something or another and a hot ass r9 290x reference..... so... yeah it will be hot.

Haha the delimmia I have currently faced has been haveing no way to post pictures with my internet connection. Even my google skecthed ones. Deppresing is this ones living situation. Not in the States is he.
