Im talking about, a new, unused and In good condition NES, not an used...  -_-

Oh you destroyed that NES. If you had, everthing that came with her, including the box, it could have be a fortune...

Sorry didn't get that message from the above post. Why even post that when in the first post is:

My uncle just gave me a broken nes a week ago and i can't stop thinking about how I'm going to build this thing.

It's broken so is worth around $15-$20 USD Maximum, if it was mint, working and new then not only would he not gut it for a PC As no one would do that!

Anyway I think this is an awesome project shall continue to follow it :)

Looking good! Usually I'm more a fan of stealth builds but those vents don't look too out of place, and well then NES doesn't exactly have lots of ventilation :P

LTT's fastest Valley 970, slowest Valley Basic and Extreme HD scores

Desktop || CPU - i5 4690k || Motherboard - ASUS Gryphon Z97 || RAM - 16GB Kingston HyperX 1866MHz || GPU - Gigabyte G1 GTX 970 *Cough* 3.5GB || Case - Fractal Design Define R5 || HDD - Seagate Barracuda 160GB || PSU - Corsair AX760

Thanks!

my intentions was to go more of a stealth build .but after the pico psu kinda pooped out on me and I hooked a real psu and seen what the cpu and gpu could do full throttle I said "F" it and let the Nintendo shine!! :D  The vents are only going to be on the sides so most of what any one is going to see is the front of the case.(kinda stealth lol)

Happy new year.

What is your new years resolution for the NES? I am assuming it is 1080p, considering you are using HDMI. Am I correct?

ok vents are glued in came out pretty nice the top one slipped a little while epoxying so the reveal is a little off ,nothing I can due about it now .I don't think anyone would of really noticed if I did not point it out.

also this morning I took my cpu cooler off and resurfaced it.This is something that bothered me since my cooler came in with its horrible rough surface.

also trimmed down the cpu cooler bolts that attach it to the motherboard ,doing this let me drop the board down almost a 1/8 of a inch

I hope you don't mind me asking, but how much of a difference does it make?

The main reason I needed to to this was the ram was hitting the top case, but also gives the cpu cooler a little bit more breathing room and also moves the gpu a tad more away from the top of the case

still have to shave some plastic off,but at least I will not have to cut it out now.

I am very interested in this as well. If it's small enough and supports LGA 775, and it's cheap enough... It might find its way into a small build of mine.

I know I seen that in the pic after ,cotton was cleaned up before installing back in the case lol,I used it to buff it out and clean fine metal dust after resurfacing.

edit- almost forgot it is a is-40 by ID-cooling http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA59T1RR6731&cm_re=is-40-_-9SIA59T1RR6731-_-Product

would recommend a resurfacing ,but out of the box it it did drop max temps by 10c and a lot quieter than stock intel
