My only reservation is that the LEDs are not changeable.

I hate to say it, but it's as ugly as fudge. Looks like something out of Star Trek.

ROG is red and Strix is going to be orange? Not a fan of that "gaming" style, but I do like the concept behind the "Strix" moniker since owls are p. badass.

Looks OK I guess but why the hell it has orange backlight? It won't even match ASUS own black/red color scheme.

I like the orange lighting much

but God it's hideous

How hard can it be to use a sensible font?

And the shape....not all gamers like the "gamer bling", it's just so childish and goofy

Cooler master realised that and their keyboards are more elegant now

After years of watching the pioneers work in the keyboard market and Asus comes up with this

Man I really dislike the Strix designs :\  Shame because they have a lot of features I desire.

I thought Strix was all about silence / performance. Why even advertising Cherry MX Blue switches?

I'd have to agree with the majority here. Not visually appealing in any way.

Not having a wrist rest, as ShadowCaptain said, is a deal breaker in its own right.

You could build the perfect keyboard, make it look beautiful, give it all the functions you could ever need, make it indestructible, if it has no wrist rest, it's no deal.

(inb4: standalone wrist rests never work quite right)

Exactly I mean for a typist using correct posture, they would not use a wrist rest as the wrist should not be in contact with the keyboad

but for a gamer using WASD, for a long period, a wrist rest is a 100% necessity

Apart from the 10 macro keys on the left does it actually offer anything usable that makes it worth the price?

P.S I think it's fugly too.

I wouldn't say it's ugly, but it is very 'in your face' which doesn't sit well with me.
