Dampen Vibrations from Keyboard to Microphone

Hey, my microphone picks up incredibly loud bangs from my keyboard every time I type. I use the Blue Nessie microphone, and a cheap £10 keyboard. As you can see from searching the name of the microphone hanging it from a. Stand is not an option. Please send ne any ideas on how to dampen the noise/vibrations.

well unfortunatly i have no real solution but i am interested in the matter in general too. because typing is always kinda nousy when skyping or anything so their must be a general way one can have the mic not pic it up so loudly

"You know it'll clock down as soon as it hits 40°C, right?" - "Yeah ... but it doesnt hit 40°C ... ever  😄"

but i guess since typing is essentialy hitting the desk with your fingers it will always cause vibration. of course one can get a not so loud keybourd but as for the vibration i think other than removing the mic from the desk theres not much one can do

Try folding a sock in to a square and putting it under the mic and see if that helps.

as far as your sound issue goes, the only real option is to either not type so loud, or invest in a better keyboard. something with cherry red or browns are fairly quiet, especially once you get used to it, and stop "botteming out" when you type

Get a shock mount, I have one and I just attach it to my rode psa1 and then put the mic in it!
