nvidia shield tablet local multiplayer?

I've been looking at all the reviews of the nvidia shield tablet, but I've been left with one question that no one's seemed to answer (or at least I can't find it). My burning question is:

 

How well does the shield run 4 person local multiplayer? Think games like crawl, tower fall ascension, hammerwatch, niddhogg, monco, splint screen stuff, etc.

 

I know that the shield supports up to 4 controllers, but that's useless if it doesn't work well.

you mean for streamed games, or for shield games?
