Currently, just the hardware inside the tower (including the case) is just shy of $3000 AUD, soon that's gonna jump by like $750-800 when I can get my second 6GB 780, then god-only-know how much above that into the $4000-5000 range when I get to liquid cooling the beast.

what monitor are u using with that

Dual LG Flatron E2441's (24" 1080p native) boosted to 1440p via nVidia Control Panel. Might look at swapping to 120/144 Hz monitors, if can find any that aren't "rape-your-wallet-until-it-cries-the-safeword" expensive here.

so you sre supersampling to 1440p why not 4k as it erfectly downscales

I found through experimenting that the E2441 I'm using as my Primary doesn't really handle that much above 1440p all that well, so not sure if the Secondary E2441 would handle being pushed above 1440p either.

Edit: Some more experimenting right now, it seems both E2441's can handle being pushed to 1800p (3200*1800), but not 4K at 3840*2160.

computer tech is interesting because most consumer goods depreciate over time for various reasons, but computer components depreciate in large part because of relative performance. imagine your vehicle barely having any resale value because next years model has twice the horse power.  :D  but yeah, including computer components only, I'd say somewhere in the range of 2000-2500 smackers my cost.

R9 3900XT | Tomahawk B550 | Ventus OC RTX 3090 | Photon 1050W | 32GB DDR4 | TUF GT501 Case | Vizio 4K 50'' HDR

How much did you plan to spend an how much did you spend on your current pc

I planned on spending £75 but here I am £395 later.

Just got to fit an aftermarket cooler and some lights, had planned on water cooling just for the fun of it but debating the funds to fun/hype ratio
