What is the cost of your current gaming pc?

LemonSpice

I think I'm reaching $8,000 + now. If you throw in the custom computer table I made and the desk, then around $9500. I've spent a lot of money into multiple systems and this amount is just for my sexy current build "Beauty and the Beast" (you can see specs in my signature)

yeah but a house costs hundreds of thousands of dollars and an upgrade to x99 and 4 980 would only cost $2500-$4000 usd depending on what cpu and motherboard you choose

Mine cost me about £1600 in total, including all the extra peripherals, etc. That makes it about $2500... which is a lot of money :/

I think the main reason why it's so expensive is the fact that I have to pay for the import cost and 20% VAT. If you make a copy of my system in PCPartPicker USA it only costs $1640, which is £1040... I hate import taxes.

Mine evolved, the only part left over from my first build is the ram and that's getting swapped out soon here.

For the current parts (plus the new offsets replacing dead stuff) it'll total about 1500$. But I've spent over 3000 on parts, it's just I've sold a couple off, or they died (rip 7970) or I still have them or I lent them to friends till they can replace them with components they bought.

I first planned to spend about 850 dollars on just the case with the components, but changed from a GTX760 to a GTX770 because of people telling me the 300 dollar price tag is where sweet cards really were, most of my friends run with 760's and i appreciate the extra performance the 770 offers. Did some modifications over time, bought an AIO water cooler, some fans and a mechanical keyboard.

Asus B85M-G / Intel i5-4670 / Sapphire 290X Tri-X / 16GB RAM (Corsair Value 1x8GB + Crucial 2x4GB) @1333MHz / Coolermaster B600 (600W) / Be Quiet! Silent Base 800 / Adata SP900 128GB SSD & WD Green 2TB & SG Barracuda 1TB / Dell AT-101W / Logitech G502 / Acer G226HQL & X-Star DP2710LED

I don't know if you guys see it or not but there is indeed a comma between the 3 and the 2 0's which makes it 3k not 3....
