Need a new antenna for my radio tuner

So, it's time for a new antenna for my radio tuner. My TV antenna just isn't cutting the job (had to make it touch my Dell and use my Dell as an even bigger antenna). So... What kind of antenna? Well... A good one that doesn't break the bank. I'll need one for FM and AM (yes, I listen to AM, fite me). It will be used inside my house, and it will need to be fairly strong too, since our house is pretty well "insulated" against stuff like radio signals, and there is a lot of interference (my ethernet cable being one of them). Here are the jacks or whatever you want to call them on the back. The FM ones are the twist ones (as is the one AM one) and there is one for an AM "plug," I guess. It is what im using, works fine, i mean it is 10 feet but.....it gets the job done :D

Not in my house. Considering I'm having to use my computer by the wall as an antenna... Yeah.

I saw some video of a guy from Sierra Leone create a whole new FM transmitter out of garbage. He got invited to MIT. What an inspiration. Maybe you can make one??
