How do I mine?

I know that I'm not going to get much, but I would like to set up a mining program on my desktop (i5-4670k, GTX 660ti) for a school project. Whats the easiest way to do so, and is there a tutorial I could follow?

1. Find a mining pool (google it)

2. Get account on the pool

3. Get settings for the pool

4. Download cudaminer https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=167229.0

5. Run cudaminer with your settings from a .bat file

I followed a guide similar to this, and it works! Trying to see how much I can overclock my card before it crashes.

Have a look at this chart https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aj3vcsuY-JFNdHR4ZUN5alozQUNvU1pyd2NGeTNicGc&usp=sharing#gid=0 for kernel settings that work best (it should look someting like "k7x32" for 660Ti)
