Random boxes of pixels

Testcatt

When i watch youtube videos i get these strange large boxes of pixels changing colors and when i stop the video they disappear, they also disappear when i move the mouse on them. I have an R9 290 i've had it for about a year and this is the first time i see this happening. Help?!!

I attached a picture of this happening.

If you managed to make a screensnap of it, I'd say VRAM issues(It looks like VRAM corruption, too).

You might want to test the card in a different system to see if the VRAM is really defective or if another factor is causing VRAM corruption.

definetely the gpu. Are you running an overclock? if yes remove it and if not try underclocking the vram and the core and see weather that helps... If this also happens with the card in an other system you might want to rma the card, because this in not supposed to happen :D

If it's gone by underclocking I'd still try to get warranty on it, since you shouldn't have to underclock a card for it to function as it should.

I restarted the machine and watched a youtube video, it didn't happen again. Should i wait and see or do some testing?
