orangecat

I wanted to try out the technical purview in a VM but that wouldn't work then I tried to bit it off a disk and that didn't work either. Has anyone been able to get it to boot if so how?

Install it under the windows 8.1 option instead of windows other.

Firstly, make sure you select windows 8/8.1 as the operating system and what vm software are you using?

I personally use and prefer Vmware and its working fine.   If your using Virtualbox I can't help you there, but try Vmware player if you want to.

Also, make sure virtualization technology in the cpu settings in the BIOS is enabled.
