40" TV for console gaming

pbenologa

What's the appropriate or best price for a 40" TV that is good for console gaming? Also, do you have any suggestion for what tv model/brand should i get?

Thanks!

Philips, LG, Samsung, I would go for the cheapest one available, it doesn't really matter that much.

ofc the brand matters . Sony tv`s have the lowest input lag. so get a sony tv. as for the model i donno depends on your budget and preferences. if you want smart or not

i recommend sony kdl-40w605/6 . amazing picture quality, just check out reviews. lg hell no,very low contrast and higher input lag.bad PQ

next brand in line that i recommend is samsung

Agree on the Sony TV's but  Samsung only if you are on budget goes also to LG. (marketing BS)

Thanks!

The thing is that input lag numbers seem all too good, but it does not measure motion resolution (blurring from motion).

Gaming modes usually reduce input lag but it often worsens motion resolution. TVs with motion interpolation (and this feature enabled) generally offer better motion resolution, but have worse input lag.

It is a compromise that you'd have to decide on. Some are sensitive to low tone smearing, others do not like high input lag, etc.

If you're not sensitive to flicker, backlight scanning can help improve the motion quality on most TVs without increasing input lag.

If you don't care about accurate colors too much, the Toshiba L2400U series can do the job at a low price. It has low input lag and has backlight scanning.
