Sleeved extension affect stability of voltage?

Hey guys, I've been looking to get some sleeved cables for my PC to match the color of my motherboard, but I'm worried if it affects the voltage stability at all? I've seen this post where his voltage is affected by the extension so I'm not too sure about getting these sleeved extensions. link to the post here: http://www.overclock.net/t/1432883/psu-extension-actually-impact-on-high-load-system

It seems like people there suggest that it wouldn't affect the voltage at all but you know, just want to clear things out and I figured linustechtips forum is a better place to get more info :P

And also I'm too lazy to sleeve my own cable :P so if getting the sleeved extension like the bitfenix or NZXT ones is alright then I'd rather have that! :D

Seems like a bad example to be honest. I've used extensions before and never noticed any differences.

I have the BItFenix ones (I LOVE them) I don't see any difference in stability.

They shouldn't unless if they are low quality(and cant handle the current), or if they are too long and the same effect happens on the pre-existing wires. You should be fine, just make sure you get high quality cables and have a decent power supply.

1. if the extension is super long (over 50in) I keep them under 50in to be safe, however I have done longer with no issues.

2. wire AWG should at least be 18AWG or 16AWG

3. Bad crimps and/or damaged wire.

From the site. Apparently re-connecting them fixed the issue for the most part. To me it just sounds like bad luck/one of those things/defective extension.

Extensions won't have an enough affect that you should be worrying. The affect is negligible -- unless your extensions are several feet / meters long.

All your cables are is...well...copper wires. There is naturally resistance in the copper material, but again, it's extremely small per distance.

EDIT: Typically resistivity of copper: 1.68 x 10^ -8 ohm meter.
