Anker CG100 mouse cursor broken in motherboard UEFI. Other mice have no problem.

Before I say anything else I gotta say that I have two other computer mice, a Logitech mouse with a bright red laser under it that I got in 2002 and this cheap other mouse that came in a $10-15 keyboard bundle I saw online once; both work in the UEFI with full range of motion and ability to select menu options.

Not that I go into the UEFI/BIOS too often in the first place, but if I do with this mouse I get the following bug. The cursor/pointer remains in the middle of the screen and can only move up and down. The cursor can't go from left to right, only up and down. I believe oddly enough if I move the mouse up and down it doesn't move at all. When moving left to right, THEN it will move up and down. The cursor is only moving on a Y-Axis you could say.

The Anker CG100 8200 DPI mouse has it's own software to configure the mouse to different settings for different profiles. DPI, polling, acceleration and colors are customizable. You don't need to have the Anker software running at all times for the mouse to work in Windows because the mouse has some memory for the profiles. There's either a setting in the profile that isn't compatible with UEFI, a driver issue or blah blah IDK. I haven't done any experimenting with the Anker settings because I don't know where to start. DPI is around 2000-2300 in my used profile.

Motherboard is Asrock z68 Extreme3 Gen3.

Yeah it depends on the mouse. Some don't work properly without the drivers enabled (which they arent in UEFI)

You will need to use a different mouse whenever you do something in UEFI or just use your keyboard.
