MY FIRST COMPUTER BUILD! What do YOU think?

Hey guys i'm really freaking excited to build my first PC! It's going to be used for mainly gaming and mild video editing in after effects at 1080p, it will also be used for everything else because it will be my main PC and I want it too last a long time.

I have listed all, and I literally mean all the parts below and I want to know if all the parts will work together well and if there is anything I can change to improve on.

I have put questions/comments next to the parts please answer the questions! :D

Thanks so much guys!!!!

EDIT: I'm changing some of the parts out il post again once done.

I think that font was unnecessary. And why would you get a AIO for just overclocking? I overclock fine with a Dark Rock 3 and it's still reasonably cool. The Noctua NH-U12s will perform well, even when overclocking.

What do they know of England, who only England know?

For better temps, I get uncomfortable with really high temps, especially on my first PC's $400 (AUD) CPU

@UltraNeonGaming take a Cryorig R1 Ultimate, its a beast of cooler

Instead of that ASUS board, I would rather get a Gigabyte or MSI ;)

For the monitor I would change it for the RL2460HT

And if you are not going to SLI, get a 650W power supply which is more than enough, XFX XTR 650W is my recommendation

Other than that, that build is pretty well built :D

I can't get that cooler because it is too tall for the 450D case

Also I want an IPS monitor because TN will look like crap when going to it from using a IPS monitor for 3 years...

Im choosing that board because it has many features that I want :D

I think that build looks fairly solid.  Asus boards are great because of some having dual intelligent processors for auto-intuitive-oc'ing for the non-adept ^_^.  Overall, looks perfect.  If you do decide to overclock and get a waterloop - Swiftech or Coolermaster.  They're typically silent, amazing temperatures, and just all around amazing.  Only thing I can think of adding as well is on the terms of the mouse - since it is a laser, make sure you've got a hard plastic or aluminium mouse-pad - it's better for the laser reflections than a cloth.  Can sometimes have odd jitter with cloth pad's and laser mice.

1. Mobo too expensive IMO, get the Z97-A

2. PSU too overkill, get the supernova G2 750W from evga, new GTX970 has low power consumption

Welcome, man!  Also a note-able change in fans for you, maybe consider looking in to the Swiftech Helix's.  They perform similarly to one of the Old Gentle Typhoon 14's(I believe) and those and the GT-15's were the #1 fans for a long time.  Should be about as much as the Corsair fan's but FAR quieter on different rpm's / voltages.  Maybe a little cheaper.  Haven't checked the prices lately.

The NH-U12S will do a good job for some basic overclocking.

EVGA 220-G2-0850-XR is as good but less expensive than the AX-860 psu.

Don't bother with additional fans until and unless there is a need for them.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
