I would assume this is the case but is the monitor plugged in to the graphics card?

What do you mean that they are not using the gpu? Are t hey using intergrated graphics or is it more like "my gpu is not being used to its full potential"?

Did this happen before or after new drivers?

Define "not using the gpu".

msi afterburner shows me that the gpu is at 0% usage

Did this happen before or after new drivers?

before

This could be a sensor/calculation error. When you play games does the temperature rise or the clock speed increase?

on other games yes, the clock increase, and the temperatures are 60-68ºC at 100% load

In msi afterburner though, does the temperature of the gpu and its clock speed increase?

It must be a glitch. Your card is being used and as far as I can tell you won't be able to do anything about the 0% glitch. It shouldn't affect performance unless right now you are seeing decreased performance than usual. It might be a driver issue as when I updated my drivers, msi stopped receiving tachometer readings, but again, unless you need usage readings or performance is decreased, you should just leave it.
