Windows 7 layout for Windows 8?

tehgray

Can someone point me in the right direction here? I've seen this: http://www.overclock.net/t/1240779/seans-windows-8-install-optimization-guide-for-ssds-hdds under alternative start menus, but not sure which one to choose. Will having these programs slow down my computer? Any suggestions on what to choose?

I'm a little confused. From a quick scan of the article, it is about optimizing storage devices for windows. Maybe I skipped over some things. Just shooting in the dark but classic start may be what you're looking for. I'll read more carefully and then edit this.

Ah ok I did skip that part. I use classic start and it works perfect for me. There will be no noticeable impact on performance.

The main contenders are Classic Shell, Start8, and StartisBack.  I personally use StartisBack, it costs $$$, but its big feature is that its not a background process like their contenders, not like it will impact performance in anyway...
