Question about the Avermedia Live Gamer Portable/Lite.

Mistico88

So I want get this to relieve some of the workload from my CPU, however I am not quite sure how it works when gaming on a PC.

My question is: How does this work if I have a BenQ XL2420z? Do I have to use the HDMI pass through? But then wouldn't I lose the 144hz refresh rate? Or can I just connect an HDMI cable to the Avermedia device without then running another one to my monitor? And, do have to run the audio cable too so it records sound??

Thanks again guys!

Having never used it what I say is speculation.

I would imagine you can use another output from your GPU to the avermedia. HDMI can carry an audio signal so that might work. But to be safe you could just get a splitter and run a 3.5m Jack to it. You might have to configure the GPU to send the same signal over both outputs but I would think its possible.
