both corsair and gskill are 2 of the "top dog" names in the RAM buisness. Get whatever is cheaper, and/or has better reviews

I personally would go for G.Skill, i kind of have a hate against corsair, but as for a neutral standpoint, just get what is cheaper. And if the 2133 MHz only is a few bucks more (like 1-5€/$) id go for it.

The ripjaws have a little better cooler clearance due to being smaller. I also think they look better but that's just me. :D

who cares...

I am in no way biased based on what I have used for years, but you should definitely go with G.Skill. As a company they will bend over backwards, pull their head back up between their legs so that the back of their head is touching their chest, just to make you feel better.

in all seriousness, both are equally good, but G.Skill is slightly more equally good.

Get whatever looks better in your system; the G-Skill ones have better frequency, but the Corsair ones have lower latency; they will both perform about the same.

Compatible with Windows 95

Yeah but that particular kit has the tall, useless heatsinks.

The G.Skill kit has lower latency than the Corsair kit, though the difference is very small.

Which is fine, but... he's asking about a particular kit that has the tall heatsinks.

I own a set of the of the Corsair Vengeance memory kit that you are referring to. IMO, the "aesthetic" heatsinks are on the taller side and you may run into clearance issues with some CPU coolers.

From the very top tip of the RAM module to the bottom of the RAM module, they measure in at a little over 2" (5.5cm) tall.

9-9-9-24 is standard timings for DDR3 1600MHz RAM.

If you can get 1866MHz / 2133MHz RAM with lower timings (i.e. CAS 8, 9, or 10) with 1.5V for a similar price, then I would get those instead. The performance difference won't be much, but if it's the same price...why not?

Yeah. And it's worth keeping in mind that CL9 on DDR3-1600 gives latency (11.25ns) right between CL10 and CL11 at DDR3-1866 (10.72ns and 11.79ns), and equal to CL12 at DDR3-2133 (11.26ns).
