Razer Blackshark or Razer Kraken Pro for Xbox One?

Kranion
Go to solution Solved by ZiggyManSaad,

Get the HyperX. They're over ear cups and cheaper.

I am looking for a gaming headset for Xbox One, and the Razer Blackshark/Krakens are the ones that interest me. My only concern is the compatibility of the two on the XBox One. I hear people have mic issues with the Krakens and I want to know if there is anyway to fix it? These will also be used on my PC. Thanks.

Be glad you had gotten some sound advice here (see what I did there?). I had gotten a Black Shark after a member here gave pretty good review of the said headset. That monstrosity has only one thing going for it....bass. Forget soundstage, forget transparency, hell forget about mids and highs while you're at it. Bass muddies everything else, and mids and highs were recessed to begin with. Terrible headset but I got it cheap so what can I say?

I have the HX Cloud and it is a more balanced headset in terms of sound. Yes, bass is emphasized but isn't as overpowering as the Black Shark. Mids is decent enough and for me, highs is pretty good....though some have said it to be a tad harsh. I used to use my Senn HD555 for music and the Black Shark for gaming, but now with the HX Cloud, I find myself NOT needing my Senn anymore as the HX Cloud does a more than adequate job doing games, movies and music.
