HD 5450/GT 210?

Alternatively, get a CPU with an iGPU, such as an Intel Celeron/Pentium or AMD A6/A8.

Hi Guys,

I'm building AMD based system for my father and looking for good GPU, the system will only be used for browsing, HD video playback and some browser based gaming. I want to keep costs as low as possible as I'm paying for the build, but not to cheap.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum.

Any GPU will really do well, as long as it has the outputs you need. You'll not be doing very much 3D anything, right?

Specs: 4790k | Asus Z-97 Pro Wifi | MX100 512GB SSD | NZXT H440 Plastidipped Black | Dark Rock 3 CPU Cooler | MSI 290x Lightning | EVGA 850 G2 | 3x Noctua Industrial NF-F12's

Bought a powermac G5, expect a mod log sometime in 2015

Corsair is overrated, and Anime is ruined by the people who watch it

Go with an A6 (<1080p) or A8 (>1080p) APU, or go with an Intel Pentium.

But for an actual GPU, there is an XFX single-slot 6670 which would do freaking fantastic.

What kind of browser games are we talking about? As long as you are not talking talking along the lines of WoW, then any integrated graphics should work fine. If you are getting a CPU without any graphics pickup up something like a 5450  amzn.com/B007B5YUMQ . Silent, cheap, and it does everything you need it to.

Just go AMD APU. An APU combines decent graphics into a CPU so you wont end up buying a separate GPU. An A6 6400K would be a good budget option, but if he needs a little more graphic power an A8 6600K would suffice

I personally would just get an APU. The A8-6600K would be plenty for what he's looking to do.
