ssd vs msata

so, my current OCZ drive is on the way out. and im going to get a new SSD, is there any benefit to get an MSATA ssd that goes right into my mobo vs a standard ssd?

No, the speed is the same.

It's basically just a different method for sata 3. Same speeds, different plug to use. It can make it more compact, but offers nothing else really and they tend to have green pcbs that aren't covered up, compared to a standard ssd which will typically have a nice stylised metal housing.
