windows 10 thoughts ?

Microsoft just launched its new windows 10!!
first of all the name is quiet absurd, i mean 7 8 10 doesn't make a lot of sense.
Anyway, this new windows is what would happen if you cross win 7 with win 8, in a good way tho, and its pulled off very well!!

So what do you guyz think???

Wait,"launched" ? I thought they only "unveiled" it, with the release for late 2015.

In any case, I will reserve my judgement until I see it. If they really ded implemented that asimov real-time monitoring in the OS, I will never use it.

You know when you can't get the name right on your product it doesn't bode well for the rest of it.

I'm actually looking forward to it though tbh.

Honestly,Windows looks amazing and sure feels amazing to see how it interacted during the presentation Microsoft needed this to be positive and popular and Microsoft has never  "needed" anything the free update to 8 and migration from 7 was a big thumbs up the continuum looks stunning the start menu is appealing the new multi tasking options seems good Microsoft really took care of the little things with the rebranding of "This pc" which I wasn't personally a fan of to home and the paste in command prompt which finally happened! and with the store updated to support pegi 18 titles (Who knows? maybe Microsoft  puts Halo there) all microsoft needs to do right now is make the beta test as vigorous as possible and I'd find Windows 10 very hard to dislike

I have to admit it looks great. If they pull off everything they said in the presentation it will be awesome. B)

Hopefully it's the classic 2-Windows situation and this release will be excellent. The fact they're supposedly marketing it as Win 7 with Win 8 features rather than Win 8 with new feature gives me some hope

I feel like they are fixing problems that wasn't there to begin with.  I really enjoyed 8 & 8.1 and didn't think that they deserved the criticism that people gave it.  This seems to muddy the water between Windows 8 and Windows 7 making the 2 nearly impossible to tell the difference, which I think will be the killer because people want to KNOW where they are at so they know how to treat their computer and applications.

Im going to give it a shot, and more than likely all my computers will be using it when it officially launches (cant stand out of date software), but I do this with hesitation and is the FIRST TIME EVER I have went into a copy of Windows not feeling good.

P.S. to those of you who don't understand the naming scheme Windows 8.1 was considered a totally different OS, so by numerals it was "Windows 9".

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

I know everyone on here is going to probably hate me for saying this...  but here is what I hope to see...  Just call it "Windows".

Let me finish before you start spewing hate like shit throwing monkeys!

Just call it "Windows" and then every year release a update for it.  Windows no longer needs a paid model like it did in the past, they have done proven that people will buy Windows 8 Apps.  Google and Apple have done proven that you can support your whole ecosystem just off of the 30% they make off their cut of the applications.  Not only that, this method pretty much eliminates piracy and will increase overall happiness of the user base.  Drop all numerals and just call it "Windows".  Maybe in the settings put a build number so we know what our hardware is supported up to or so we know what version of Apps to put out, but no need for this idiotic naming scheme that were coming up with now.

--- Edit

Also this would help compete with SteamBox and potentially BOOM the console market if you could get a "Xbox" version of Windows (especially considering how close Xbox's OS is to Windows)
