DNS Not working when using uTorrent

elwinverveer
Go to solution Solved by elwinverveer,

Did you set the DNS to 8.8.8.8 statically on the clients or to the DHCP settings on the router?

I solved the issue. Apparently i checked on the option 'IP Flood Detection'. Every time a device in my network opens more then 20 simultanious connections it refuses to give DNS acces to that particular device.

Unchecked the option. Fixed.

Thanks a lot though for the help!

Hello everybody!

I've been experiencing this issue where the DNS is unreachable when uTorrent (or any other torrent program) is activated. It seems that it has to do something with the number of connections; I also experience this issue when too many programs are opened on my computer. It happens on every device in my netwerk, whether it is connected via Wi-Fi or cable. The strange thing is; all the programs which are already connected keep working (skype, teamspeak etc.)

The Router/Modem is use is the Cisco EPC3928AD.

Can someone help me out?

Are you aware of port forwarding?

I am, I set up a server which needs port-forwarding. I also configured every setting in the router.

Does it still happen if you set your devices to use a public DNS server such as googles : 8.8.8.8  &  8.8.4.4
