No options for Win7 lovers???

I'll stick with Win7 until I get a new machine... I need the compatibility with my old games...

i doubt there will be any problems, even most compatibility issues are easily solved by just running in in comp mode, so not sure, depends on if they do super cheap early release deal or something like that, which they did for win 8, i got it for 1/10 of the normal price

While I'm a Mac user I use Windows for gaming and running tech support basically every day. Frankly, if I can get away again from not having to upgrade from Windows 7 for a while I will. Unless of course it's free and doesn't suck. Then I'll happily come along for the ride.

Windows 8 was an awful $30 spent that's for sure. At least as long as I had to deal with it without Classic Shell.

We'll wait and see. Depends if I will have to buy it or not (not sure if my Dreamspark account will provide it when it's out or if I will get a free upgrade). From the leaks it mostly seems to be Windows 8.1 with some slight changes so not too hyped personally. For those that want to see the event then The Verge has a live blog: LINK

I usually wait for SP1 for each new version of Windows.  The hype around 9 is such that I might upgrade a single machine to check it out, we are due for a 'good' Windows.

Probably gonna grab the dev preview to check it out, I'm most definitely gonna give it a fair chance. (Windows, OS X, Linux user here)

I liked the "[peasant]" on the last option :D

I'm on 8.1 and will most likely move to Windows 9 as soon as I can confirm it's stable and reliable for my main rig. Probably I'll give it a try on my second rig when it gets released.

I wonder if Linus and Luke can make a "first look" video on the development version of win9, when it is available.
