PNY Prevail SSD, a good pickup for a cheap price?

Zolon
Go to solution Solved by Zolon,

So, today I got a response.

The SSD was listed wrong, and they have cancelled the order. :(

At least Amazon is very straightforward about this.

Yes.

I just found this 480GB SSD for a low low price of 133,80€ on German Amazon http://www.amazon.de/gp/aw/d/B00MZ3CMD8/ref=redir_mdp_mobile?tag=pcp05-21

(other ssds with that capacity are around 200€)

Is it a good ssd to replace the 5400rpm had in my notebook?

any ssd vs hd will be a huge upgrade

PNY did pull some stunts a while back (claming one controller and shipping another) so i would think twice before buying. But since its so cheap and apperently uses 5k p/e flash, i think is a good buy. You can always exachange  :)

Yea, I bought it, there were only 8 left and they sold within 2 hours. It will be sufficient for my crappy 3 year notebook. I will do a performance comparison with my 840 evolution once I have it. Then I will see if it was really worth it.
