Alphacool NexXxoS Cool Answer 360 LT/ST watercooling kit

Hey guys, i am looking at watercooling kits, and im wondering if the Alphacool NexXxoS Cool Answer 360 LT/ST is a good kit for the money. info and stuff about it here http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=23457&zenid=45ac609c3f85d22f018f1e1fb201e2ef. i will probably be adding EK blood red coolant into it.

Its good for the money but the other kit that pccg sell is better I think. http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=207_160_45&products_id=23456 For a bit more money you get a better pump and a thicker rad. 30mm vs 45mm thick.

Just a heads up, red coolant will stain your components and is difficult to clean out of your system.

Also is it only red coolant that stains components, do the blue and green variants of the same coolant stain the components aswell?

Difficult? Damn near impossible to do completely. Jay form Jayztwocents bought a new radiator because he couldn't get it out :D

I've over heard that the red coolant isn't the best of colours to use for coolant. Mind you I believe Jaystwocents has reviews this product as well as Tom Logan from OC3D TV.

I've over heard that the red coolant isn't the best of colours to use for coolant. Mind you I believe Jaystwocents has reviews this product as well as Tom Logan from OC3D TV.

I would suggest going with coloured tubing instead of liquid. Also the DC-LT is a kinda wimpy pump and will not handle a lot of upgrades (more blocks or rads) if you are planning. If only for CPU, the pump is fine.

Im not sure what part your running so I dont know how much temp difference there will be. Either way there will be a temp drop over using a 30mm thick rad. 

Most colored coolants stain in some way or another. Id stick with distilled water and PTnuke, you can always add colored tube later for more color.

The temp difference wont really come into play until you OC. You will still see a temp difference between the thick and thin rads but the difference between them will become more apparent with more heat. 

The fans you use on the rad and the speed that they spin at will also impact temps.

Ok, how much of an O.C could i expect using the Alphacool NexXxoS Cool Answer 360 DDC/XT Kit on a 4790K? and a what temps

On a H100i the Intel 4790K gets to 70-75 degrees under full load. With thicker rad as well as being a 360mm sized rad, you'll get temps ranging from 45-65 degrees. Your fan setup will give you lower of higher temps depending on your fan setup. These are all estimates though.

Would a push-pull be best setup in a 750D?

 

I have a 45mm thick 360mm Alphacool rad in the top of my 750D currently. I only went for a push set up cause i didnt want my PSU cables getting mashed down by the fans. Up to 60mm thick you dont really need push/pull. 

Im not saying you cant do it, I just opted not to do it because I want to be able to get at everything without to much hassle. 

Doing a push/pull setup will get you a couple of degree temp drop though.

I think ill do a pull setup with the air exhausting out the top, since the two graphics cards will be blowing air upwards so itll take away most of that heat.

The fans are great for air flow but not good for static pressure (for rads). Get some static pressure optimised fans for your rads but you can use the included fans for intake. The other option is to get static pressure fans for intakes and to use on your rads, so that the air from the front of the case is reaching your air cooled GPUs.

how much coolant would you recommend to fill and bleed the loop for the first time?

Id say have 3-4 litres of coolant or distilled water on hand, always have more than required. Apart from bleeding and filling the system up, if you get a leak you will need more to refill the system.
